Amanda + Justin's Wedding
Wednesday, September 30th, 2020
Amanda + Justin’s up-cycled wedding took place amongst the beautiful redwoods of Northern Calfornia. Bride Amanda gave us all the details —
"We had an outdoor wedding in the forest and said our vows nestled under a redwood tree grove on a 40 acre retreat center in beautiful, sunny California. We stayed the weekend in a treehouse on site while our closest family and friends camped in tents, yurts, R.V’s and cabins near by at the venue as well. Friday night we shared stories and laughs around the bonfire while making s’mores before the wedding day on Saturday afternoon.
"As a small business owner selling up-cycled home decor, I was able to D.I.Y. just about all of the decorations like hand dyed macrame hangs and wood signs for our special day. Our wedding was very laid back, with a whimsical and bohemian style. My bridesmaids were in mismatched dresses with different colors and fabrics; each of the groomsmen were in corresponding bow tie colors with an ombre palette of beige dress pants. Our bouquets were made with wildflowers, and I wore a handmade crystal crown with moon and star accents."
The dreamy ceremony ended with Amanda + Justin planting a tree, adding the water and soil to a redwood sapling that will be planted on their homestead's land. How romantic! Thanks for reading this week's Wedding Wednesday feature, and enjoy the gallery from Christine Ta of For Love and Light.
