Madelaine + Luke's Wedding
Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019
"The small lake town of Okoboji holds a special place in Luke's and my heart,” claimed Madelaine, our featured Wedding Wednesday bride. "This was where we met a couple of summers back, and we couldn't picture a more perfect location for our wedding day. We were able to find an old dairy barn that would serve as our ceremony and reception site. One of my favorite details about the barn was the stunning chandelier in the loft. The lighting from it set the perfect dinner and reception mood for our guests.
"The flowers were one of the most important details of our wedding. My grandmother volunteered to grow all of the wedding flowers. She expanded her usual summer garden with hundreds of dahlias, zinnias, and cosmos — along with so many other flowers that would be used on our wedding day. One of my very talented bridesmaids was able to arrange and make the breathtaking bouquets and boutonnieres. She even made me a beautiful flower-crown, which complimented my wedding gown and custom denim jacket perfectly! The flowers were so special to me and really helped bring the whole wedding together. It really was the perfect day.”
The airy, golden loveliness of Madelaine + Luke’s outdoor affair was beautifully captured by photographer Anna Jones, and the bride opted for a Wilderly Bride style that matched the bohemian setting to perfection!
